Eco-friendly tour operator
EcoOpa consists of two different words: Eco+Opa, which means Eco Grandpa. We named our company after an old man driver, who is a true inspiration, a teacher and a family member—grandpa. In terms of the first word—eco, we choose the word on purpose. On average, an individual uses 30 small plastic bottles within a week tour in the countryside. To reduce the environmental impact of plastics, we give a non-plastic water bottle to each tourist. Ecoopa has 4 organizing team members and nearly 20 guides and drivers. We offer 10 different tours to southern, western and central Mongolia.

“Gobi is a majestic and mysterious place. All you can see is endless wide desert, open steppe without shelter or trees, and a few nomad families which are located far from each other. However, no one can underestimate the fact that it is the starting point of all live creatures, witness millions years of history. Watching sun rise and sunset is incomparably beautiful in the Gobi.”

The beautiful milky way, endless expanse of the steppe, and wild animals help simplify my life. It gives me a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I only experience this needed respite when I’m traveling in Mongolia.
